Haha. Thanks?

It's pretty ugly. I'm not gonna lie. But, thank God for modern medicine. My grandfather's appendectomy scar was 10x uglier.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound creepy with that last post. It's just that I always have thought scars were cool. I was wondering, did they catch the appendicits early or did you cut it close?

It had ruptured and there was a lot of inflammation and my body was starting to go toxic. We knew about 5 days after it happened, what had happened. They gave me a day left to live. It was not good at all. But I'm lucky to be alive, I suppose, so I'm thankful. :)

And it's not really creepy, but I will say it's strange. Most people just find it a bit disgusting. But all the same, no need to apologize.

Right their with ya, Jent :-(

I experienced a similar situation some years back, except
it was my gall bladder.

Kept getting a pain in my right side and feeling nauseous,
sometimes vomiting. Like a dumb ass, took two aspirin and
a hot shower or bath until the pain subsided. Repeated this
little ritual for quite sometime.

Finally one night it hurt so bad, I couldn't stand it. Got
in hot bath, dozed off. The next morning the wife found me
asleep in the tub. Woke my ass up, off to the emergency
room. :-)

Doctor removed what was left of my gall bladder, pumped me
up with antibiotics and I recovered. :-)

So now I have a scar on my lower abdomen to remind me of
those of us of the male persuasion just how stupid we can
be sometimes. :-)

I have scars for a few different reasons...
some because of my depression, as in I cut myself as a form of punishment and temporary joy... some because I punctured myself wrongly when I have examined my blood, and did blood based experiments. Some from ritualistic reasons...

for most of my scars, the reasons why I have them would drive people away

Interesting story MSimm. The medical scar stories always interest me because I can relate.

cord, guess it goes to show every scar has it's own story
or cause. :-)

whether it's medical, deliberate or accidental. :-)
