Welcome to the Affair "Male/Female Couple" contest! This contest will be centered around male/female couples in intimate situations.
Although the lack of participation in the Lyrics Contest was disheartening, this contest will have TWO months to submit an entry. Hopefully the subject of this contest will inspire more entries.
Start: June 25, 2010
End: August 29, 2010 (ending time is PST time zone)
The rules are as follows:
•Focus of the picture must be a couple (male/female). Same sex couples will not be accepted for this contest.
•Both CG and Non-CG works are accepted.
•Fan-art will not be allowed.
•Awards will be announced at the end of the contest
•All art must be original and done by the member who uploads it. Stealing will NOT be tolerated.
•Critter-friendly. (Critters will be allowed as supporting cast to the picture.)
•No prizes will be awarded in this contest.
Please make sure that your entries adhere to the contest rules set forth by Affair Anime.
•Art submitted to contest galleries must be original or Fan Art produced by the member who submitted it. Fraudulent entries will be removed and the member's account will be suspended.
•If you are under 18, you must obtain the permission of your parents before submitting your work.
•Do not submit incomplete work, it will be removed.
•Art must comply with all other rules for specific contests.
•By submitting your art to a contest gallery, you grant non-exclusive, royalty-free rights to Lost Mouse, Inc. (advancedanime.com and affairanime.com) to display and publish your art via the internet and use it for other promotional purposes.
•Awards will be issued using a secret and arbitrary formula.

Hmm, hmm.
Apologies on never actually submitting to the last contest. I have about three unfinished works in progress for it and gave up on all three of them. And then disappeared for a while.
Not sure I'll attempt this one - males aren't really my forte. Maybe I'll try. Probably not. xD
When there's a female/female, though... I'll be all over that.

I'd probably give this one a go if it was just a couples contest but with the trouble I have drawing men as well as my other projects and the considerable personal troubles I'm having lately; I don't think I'll make a contribution this time around.

I would like to make a contribution to this contest too. Unfortunately I won't be able to start working on anything for a little over a month, I've got my hands full for a while. That and I'm not sure if I can draw guys well or not either.

Hopefully I can enter. I've been fighting with my style as of late, and thankfully, I'm winning a little in this fight, and a new style is emerging from it. I don't really have much faith in my male anatomy skills however, but, I will try. :)

^I firmly believe it a combination of the restrictive categories and the length of time given for completion, but I hope more people will enter this time.

Maybe I'm just dumb... but what is restrictive about a male/female couples contest?
If it's that it's only het couples there's a reason for that. There will be a separate contest for yaoi/yuri couples so they can get the attention they deserve instead of being overshadowed.
If that's not it I would like to know so that maybe we can fix it in the future.

I actually only saw this about two days ago and have already completed my entry. XD I think I just needed something to help me get moving and making more arts and drawing. Mine should be up soon. Just have to steal a scanner, now.
