Quote:
The parent, Margaret Barbaree, said that the manga had adult themes which she described as "graphic" and "shocking."

Lawwwl. The Japanese churn out bullshit by the megaton full of underage rape and giant robot tentacles trying to get by in a wacky Kyoto highschool.

She's just now picking up on the idea that it's not the greatest influence on children, slasher fangirls or thirty-year-old men? >.>

Then again, neither are Twilight, AIDS, smoking or sunbathing. Give it up, lady. It's not Japan's fault that your kid is a moron, though looking at your actions, maybe it's genetic.

I say we change the name of her organization to "Protect Our Town"! Manga is a terrible influence to everyone, not just children! Her wholesome group promises to deliver their name!

apparently if you sift through the forum link at the bottom of the article, they are other links that really put more perspective on things such as this woman's alleged FaceBook account and a follow up article illustrating how difficult it would have actually been for the boy to "mistakenly" pic up that volume of Gantz.

Who cares the worlds always going to be full of over-zealous crazy women. who think that everything involving their kids is everyone elses fault. not their own, or their kids. nothing will change that. So just sit back and laugh like i do.

I guess people as a whole always have to complain and bitch
about something.

That's why this country has so many frivolous lawsuits on
the docket and CNN has so many "who cares" news stories. :-)

Well I work in a large place that these lawsuits effect, so it is no laughing matter to me. Though there was a time when parents had accountability over their kids.

// neither are Twilight//

Water, can I get a hallelujah! :-)

I absolutely think parents should be held accountable for
the actions of their children. :-)

The "who cares" list is rather lengthy, stuff like inmates
at a prison not getting to watch their favorite cable show.

It's either nobodies business other than individuals
involved or complete BS. :-)

I don't really don't care if an inmate missed Punked or
whatever, It's a prison. :-)

So many things to rant about, so little on line time. :-)

Single phone line, dial up modem. :-(

Wouldn't be right to keep the phone busy 24 / 7. :-)
